The 2009′s best free mmorts League of Legends is the modification of popular Defense of the Ancients (DotA)’s map Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, combining brilliantly with strategy, MMO, RPG, and DotA in the forms of attractive comic-style graphics.

The central element in League of Legends is the Summoner that acts as an avatar to track statistics and scores for players. Not only can Summoners gain EXP (Experience Points)and IP (Influence Points) in the battles, but also they can unlock new achievements to win more battles in the virtual gaming world called Fields of Justice.

If I choose to play League of Legends in 2009,  I will then keep Bloodline Champions around in 2010.

Basically, there are two opposing sides champions and Nexus, which is similar to a police and criminal, but such mmo game reminds me of my favorite arcade game King of Fighters. For League of Legends, each of team could be destroyed or surrendered. Once the battle begins, players must defeat NPCs and Monsters that stand on the way. In order to claim the Champion, players must also work together to attack other team, earn gold and even they can buy boosted items to enhance the championship on the way to Triumph.

Unlike other DotAs, League of Legends is much easier to control for beginners thanks to the in-game tutorials on how to use the summoner skills and items, which is clearly explained, thus offering a rapid start to the game.

However, for those who want to fight in multiple maps and highly interactive community like free to play MMORPG Champions Online and WakFu, League of Legends may not a good Choice. If players who want more Intense and fast-paced action and PVP, you may like this game.

With more free to play mmos and innovative games hitting market, there are much more choice for players, such as the Arena based PvP Bloodline Champions and Dynasty Warriors Online.

Updates: Chinese IT Giant Tencent has invested League of Legends and published it in China.
