Peaceful and serene, the ocean gradually recedes into deep sleep and disappears in the darkness. A colossal business ship slowly voyages, loaded with various treasures. Pleasant winds blow over, refreshing sailors’ nervous mind. The whole place is silent, yet simmering with some kind of tension and weirdness.

A shot of gun breaks all of these, awakes men from deep sleep. Above the previous peaceful water, a striking black flag with a fearsome skull is waving in the suddenly chilly wind, while a horde of bare feet warriors, known as berserkers, have climbed to the business ship. Blood-shedding, plunder, fire …, the music of massacre is playing. Several minutes later, the warriors take their trophies away; only leave several floated bodies behind.

Far from the battlefield, there are women, children, and dogs, stand on the beach. They’re the warriors’ wives and sons. The black flag appears in the spotlight; people start screaming, laughing, and sharing the prizes of victory. It’s a routine that after each victory, they would distribute booties or trade off with others. A parliament would governance them. Only those who are really talent and strong, are qualified to be a member of it. Each MP(member of the parliament) has one vote; they’re the actual authorities of the Vikings.

The above is the life of ancient Vikings. It’s barbaric, pirate-style, yet excited. Here, you will manage your henchmen and berserkers, fight against your enemies, trade off a variety of good, even tame the mythical beasts in Vikings’ legend: the wights. Your ultimate goal is striving to be a member of the 39 rulers, who’s respected by all Vikings.
