Just as we begin to think that Duke Nukem will perhaps never show up again a decade after he made the sweeping debut, Gearbox Software, the developer of this upcoming sequel, suddenly hurls the legend man back in front of us, this time with a much modern look and more sophisticated equipments.

Everything signals escalating conflicts with aliens in the metropolis, but we all know too well that Duke Nukem will get the whole thing settled in the way he first impressed us some ten years ago.

This time Duke Nukem has way stronger and crueler enemies waiting to trip him over during the coming cross-fires. Aliens have the whole city gripped in hands, and all the gorgeous who adore the Duke have been kept in captivity. Though danger looms larger and larger, our hero will never be intimidated. Instead, the man lives with thrill for his whole life and is always itchy to kick asses whenever there is the chance.

However, Duke Nukem is not the traditional kind of hero we usually depict in mind. Don’t expect him to follow conventions while fighting the evils. A lot of times he could be a total asshole, flirting with skittish women, calling other’s names or even wracking unnecessary damages. Nonetheless, it is exactly this cynical image that makes Duke Nukem much more realistic and distinguishable among a whole bunch of heroes in the gaming world nowadays.

Duke Nukem Forever will definitely be an improvement upon the previous series, with much more focus on nuances like graphics, character depiction and scene-setting.

Gun fights will still be the overarching theme throughout the game play, only with more advanced weapon collections and more intense combative modes in place for gamers to choose from during the upcoming shooting frenzy.
