Billed as a Arena PvP-driven fighting game, Bloodline Champions is developed by the Swedish gaming company Stunlock Studios and published by Funcom, the developer of Age of Conan and The Secret World. The partnership between Stunlock Studios and Funcom was announced on May 13, 2010.

The online multiplayer arena-motivated game Bloodline Champions has been tested since the announcement of the cooperation between both of startup and seasoned one. In the first press release of Funcom, the CEO said Trond Arne Aas said Bloodline Champions requires players to possess the best strategies and skills to survive the arena. And to some extent, we could deem the game as the combo of strategy and PVP.

In Bloodline Champions, players select their heroes, choose the related spells and begin to attack in the various maps and modes. For each one, it will require specific strategies. The dynamic gameplay and fighting cooldown time are completely determined by players themselves.

For those wondering what it looks like, I should say this game is a souped up version of League of Legend without DOTA rules and levelup. There are several variants of the classical arenas, with a semblance of capturing the flag, or taking of territory, but the most remarkable feature of this game is its combat mode.  The best policy in Bloodline Champions is to fight.

The attacks are the point and click, so you must respond swiftly in order to give your enemies a heavy blow. For those who are expecting to learn advanced skills and rise a better mount, Bloodline Champions may not satisfy you, which is a pity for MMO gamers, but that helps balance the game to the maximum.

The class Ravener Bloodline of the Arena PvP Bloodline was the earlier class. By choosing this class, players could use powerful melee blows, dealing heavy blow and heal their own teammates. On Novomber 1, 2010, Funcom has partnered with several gaming media portal to give away the beta keys to take part in the pressure testing. Anyone who wants to play Bloodline Champions can join the contest hosted by the French gaming portal called Jeuxonline.info to get a key. The rule is First come, first served.

Updated: Funcom has worked together with StunLock Studios to announce the open beta date for December 15, 2010 and the Pre-orders is available on November, 15. In the closed beta, the game runs smoothly but only players who grabbed the beta keys could access the game.
