LEGO Universe is the first massively multiplayer online game from LEGO Group, the well-known toymaker. The game is now available for pre-order service and is scheduled to be published in the Q3 2010.

Like LEGO’s toy products, LEGO Universe is also designed for children aged from 13- 17, and the game itself is filled with childlike and ground-breaking features that set it apart from other MMOGs. LEGO Universe takes place in a virtual ground called Wonderland heavily populated by Lego minifigures, where players can create their own characters and cooperate in tasks to advance their characters.

The game’s graphic style and game-play mechanics are similar to that of Lego Star Wars: The Video Game and Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures.

The full-featured MMOG has no experience points or character leveling. Instead, players’ abilities can be enhanced by equipment gained from NPCs or quests through which players can build up a customized appearance for their characters.
