Age of Empires Online ( commonly called AEO ) is the next evolution in the best-selling real-time strategy (RTS) franchise Age of Empires. Developed by Robot Entertainment and Microsoft Game Studios for the Games for Windows – LIVE platform, Age of Empires Online invites players to create a living, growing online world that is shared with friends and friendly rivals around the world. Marrying fresh features with classic RTS gameplay, Age of Empires Online pays tribute to the original game while incorporating a new look, feel, and approach that appeals to long-time fans, newcomers, and everyone in between.
Age of Empires Online is a new title unveiled by Microsoft at GamesCom 2010. This Real time strategy MMO is not available to play at the moment, but players could use the beta signup page to join the beta application. You will be invited to take part in the beta-testing once it is accessible.
The game stays true to its roots with traditional RTS gameplay, a deep player-versus-player mode and detailed historical settings. AEO places the player in command of a small village of ancient Greek where players need to grow it into a mighty empire . To achieve this, you will have to collect the necessary resources for your cultural, economic and military development, as the players forge alliances and declare wars on other powers.
Age of Empires Online is nevertheless distinguished by its previous franchise. In addition to online mode, the game relies on a persistent hosting cities that evolve even when players are not connected with Internet.
The game also boasts cooperative missions which require several allied players to complete. In 2011, Age of Empires Online will be bound to come out.

Age of Empires Online will be free to play with the classic strategy gameplay mixing with the (MMO) RPG genre. The world will continue and grow, even if you as a player is not logged. Players can go up levels, have quests to complete and collaborate with other players to conquer new areas.
The graphics are also simple and cartoony, so the system will remain low. According to the company, you can download the game and play virtually anywhere.
